D.J. Scott Associates Limited is an established firm of resource management consultants, ecologists, landscape architects, GIS technicians, urban designers and rural planners who have been working in the private and public sectors for over 20 years. The firm promotes and practices integrated land planning, management and design. Today the consultancy is established at the forefront of innovative and sustainable land use strategies and development in New Zealand.

The firm comprises an Auckland based consultancy and design office, a landscape implementation company and three wholesale native plant nurseries servicing Northland, Auckland and the Waikato/Coromandel areas.

D.J. Scott Associates Limited has coordinated or assisted multi-disciplinary teams in a wide range of environmental and landscape planning design and management projects. These include landscape assessment studies as a basis for policy and management frameworks for District Plans. Other specific projects vary from complex strategic regional and district planning through to masterplanning, public policy development, structure planning, peer reviews, urban design, ecological assessment and design, landscape analysis, ecological restoration, visual assessment, community and Iwi consultation and participatory design, subdivisions, farm and lifestyle block enhancement, rural design, farm parks, housing, recreation, tourism, roading, quarrying, landfills, wastewater installations, wetland restoration, enhancement planting and large scale revegetation projects.
