Raymond joined DJ Scott Associates Limited in September 2008 as Finance Manager, to act as the financial controller for the consultancy and nursery businesses. His previous experience in NZ includes Finance & Admin Manager for Hubco Automotive Ltd, a major manufacturer & exporter of automotive parts. He was also the Management Accountant for 360 Degrees Ltd, a commercial furniture manufacturer, as well as Finance & Office Manager for Metaform Ltd, a niche market manufacturer specialising in one-offs for Design Architects. He was also a member of the Management Board for a Charitable Trust.

Before immigrating to NZ in July 2003, Raymond spent 10 of his 15 years as a Management Accountant at the Old Mutual Group, a large insurance company in Cape Town South Africa, the initial 5 years as Senior Office Space Designer and Head of the Facilities Finance Department. During his tenure as Management Accountant, he was the IT Finance Manager for Fairbairn Capital Pty Ltd a subsidiary company within the Old Mutual Group providing financial management & reporting expertise to the IT Management Team. Prior work experience includes the submission of plans to local councils, seeking approval for the installation of exterior signage for both small and high rise buildings, and as a Structural Draughtsman for Ninham Shand Civil Consulting Engineers.
